Scrivener does take time to learn and it's not that useful for short things. I have found it invaluable however for trying to keep all my snippets together for novel length works, especially since I tend not to write in a linear fashion and it allows you to drag and drop, make folders for chapters etc! It's always great to find something that fits how you work best :)
